Enrico Masala Home Page

picture Enrico Masala received the M.Sc. ("Laurea") degree in Computer Engineering in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering in 2004, both from the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. In 2003 he was a Visiting Researcher at the Signal Compression Laboratory, University of California, Santa Barbara, hosted by prof. K. Rose, where he worked on joint source channel coding algorithms for video transmission. He is currently a post-doc researcher at the Politecnico di Torino. His main research interests include multimedia processing, coding and transmission over wireline and wireless packet networks, with special attention to new technologies such as 3D video.

He currently collaborates to teach the course Processing and transmission of multimedia signals (older syllabus available here).
